24 hours without my phone

By

I haven’t written anything in a long time, since Christmas I think… so now I’m going to make sure I write something at least once a week, life has been a bit crazy but now it’s good. (I know I’ve said this so many times and then you have to wait another few months for a blog post but now things are changing.) Anyway, when I leave the house I always check to make sure I have 3 things; my phone, wallet and keys. I decided to take my phone out of the equation for 24 hours and see how long I’d take before I crumble like a chocolate digestive that’s been stood on. (I don’t know what kind of sick person would do that.) I decided to start at 10am, swapped my phone for a pen and notepad to write. below is what was written, or at least what I was able to decipher from my handwriting.

My first annual (Christmas) gift guide

By

Christmas is right around the corner, oh shit.. it’s only 2 weekends away and not even got wrapping paper let alone presents to wrap. Okay so yeah I should have done this weeks ago. But then again I never thought i’d ever be doing a blog post like this because wtf do I know? Well fuck it, let’s give it a go. Before I even begin if you need any inspiration, just go to your nearest TIGER store.

Delving into my spam (junk) folder

By

Millions of emails are sent everyday, actually maybe even more… hold on I’ll check. Oh okay I wasn’t even close, 205 billion emails a day wow. 2.4 million per second and this was in 2015. So I’m sat here and had nothing to write, zero inspiration and pointlessly going through emails and saw 416 spam emails. So here I am, and you are here too.. we’re about to go down this rabbit hole of lottery wins, Viagra and brides you can buy online probably.

If you’re reading this it’s not too late – A word on depression

I know I haven’t written anything in centuries, I’ve been pondering at the thought of how much I want to filter what I say on here. I’m currently sat on a bench overlooking some water. I can’t feel my hands, I wish I could transfer that feeling of numbness from the tips of my fingers to my heart, mind and soul (If you’re wondering how I’m writing this, I have gloves which work on a touchscreen – 2.50 from primark for a pair.. bargain).

My favourite people on Youtube

By

Another thing I’ve always wanted to do on my blog. LISTS. I love lists man… sigh, if only I felt the same about completing to do lists, as opposed to making a list of ways to procrastinate. This is in alphabetical order by the way, just incase you thought it was a top 5.  I’ve also picked a video so you can get a taster of what their content is like.

How to get free stuff from Amazon

By

This post is going to annoy a lot of “genuine” or “passionate” amazon reviewers who class it as a hobby, like really? hobby? I’ll save that for another day. (A moment of silence for their opinions which we don’t care for) This is a part of the way Amazon indexes it’s products, if you have product A and product B, keep in mind they’re identical. If product A has dozens of good reviews and purchases (even if they are reviewers) that will come up first. And obviously you’re more likely to purchase a product that has reviews.

Cheer up

By

If you know me and you’re reading the title, you’re probably laughing already at how ironic this is (and if you don’t know me personally, inside joke sorry). I’ve compiled a list as I like lists, which takes me to the first one. Make lists I don’t know what you should make lists of but it might actually work, make a bucket list? Who cares if you actually do it or not. The thought of doing those things will improve your mood, and divert attention from your miserable fucking life. I just thought sounding that harsh would sound funny.

I went to Dallas, Texas (and Wrestlemania)

By

Last year me and my mate bought tickets to fulfil a childhood dream, which was go to Wrestlemania. So this April  it took place in Dallas, Texas. This post contains photos I took during my time there, well a lot of them anyway… iPhoto lost some. Would definitely recommend Dallas (well Texas as a whole), it has everything. I’ve also added SXSW to my to do list now. If you have any questions just put it in the comments below and i’ll reply to them. I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton – the staff were great and you can book your stay here I flew with American Airlines – I had an issue with check in on the app but also the staff were great and sorted it out, and most importantly I didn’t lose my bags! – book with them here Also thanks to CityPass for sorting me out with some passes to explore the city, it’s a must if you’re visiting one of their cities and it works out cheaper too.

Confidence – Fake it ’til you make it?

Confidence – Fake it ’til you make it?

By

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” – Eleanor Roosevelt What is confidence? All my life I’ve seen it muddled with arrogance but that’s just a misinterpretation. After all it’s typically people who have low self-confidence that  tend to think that. Now don’t get me wrong, confidence and arrogance do overlap for a lot of people. But not everyone. Confidence is (I’ve already used it 4 times, may aswell play the confidence drinking game while you read this and that may also boost it – tip)
