If you’re reading this it’s not too late – A word on depression

By

I know I haven’t written anything in centuries, I’ve been pondering at the thought of how much I want to filter what I say on here. I’m currently sat on a bench overlooking some water. I can’t feel my hands, I wish I could transfer that feeling of numbness from the tips of my fingers to my heart, mind and soul (If you’re wondering how I’m writing this, I have gloves which work on a touchscreen – 2.50 from primark for a pair.. bargain).   This photo is the last time I was genuinely happy, okay well maybe that’s a slight exaggeration. But I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time I was even 70% happy, I’ve been distracted but not happy. There’s a fine line between happiness and distraction and I’m sure I’ve crossed it but not enough to know wholeheartedly. If you are one of my friends or used to be you won’t be surprised by any part of what you read, or you might be. Either way, don’t be hurt. And if you’re family then you really will be baffled. I would just get the usual, “what have you got to be depressed about?” If I knew the root cause of my depression it would be easier to tackle, and this is the problem for most people, they don’t know. Or it takes months, years to find out, by which time it’s too late for some sadly.       Mostly you just want to go to someone…

My favourite people on Youtube

By

Another thing I’ve always wanted to do on my blog. LISTS. I love lists man… sigh, if only I felt the same about completing to do lists, as opposed to making a list of ways to procrastinate. This is in alphabetical order by the way, just incase you thought it was a top 5.  I’ve also picked a video so you can get a taster of what their content is like.

How to get free stuff from Amazon

By

This post is going to annoy a lot of “genuine” or “passionate” amazon reviewers who class it as a hobby, like really? hobby? I’ll save that for another day. (A moment of silence for their opinions which we don’t care for) This is a part of the way Amazon indexes it’s products, if you have product A and product B, keep in mind they’re identical. If product A has dozens of good reviews and purchases (even if they are reviewers) that will come up first. And obviously you’re more likely to purchase a product that has reviews.

Cheer up

By

If you know me and you’re reading the title, you’re probably laughing already at how ironic this is (and if you don’t know me personally, inside joke sorry). I’ve compiled a list as I like lists, which takes me to the first one. Make lists I don’t know what you should make lists of but it might actually work, make a bucket list? Who cares if you actually do it or not. The thought of doing those things will improve your mood, and divert attention from your miserable fucking life. I just thought sounding that harsh would sound funny.

I went to Dallas, Texas (and Wrestlemania)

By

Last year me and my mate bought tickets to fulfil a childhood dream, which was go to Wrestlemania. So this April  it took place in Dallas, Texas. This post contains photos I took during my time there, well a lot of them anyway… iPhoto lost some. Would definitely recommend Dallas (well Texas as a whole), it has everything. I’ve also added SXSW to my to do list now. If you have any questions just put it in the comments below and i’ll reply to them. I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton – the staff were great and you can book your stay here I flew with American Airlines – I had an issue with check in on the app but also the staff were great and sorted it out, and most importantly I didn’t lose my bags! – book with them here Also thanks to CityPass for sorting me out with some passes to explore the city, it’s a must if you’re visiting one of their cities and it works out cheaper too.

Confidence – Fake it ’til you make it?

Confidence – Fake it ’til you make it?

By

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” – Eleanor Roosevelt What is confidence? All my life I’ve seen it muddled with arrogance but that’s just a misinterpretation. After all it’s typically people who have low self-confidence that  tend to think that. Now don’t get me wrong, confidence and arrogance do overlap for a lot of people. But not everyone. Confidence is (I’ve already used it 4 times, may aswell play the confidence drinking game while you read this and that may also boost it – tip)

My first post – Trains

By

I have no end goal with this blog (goals is such an annoying term nowadays, I’ll revisit that topic)  or collection of thoughts.. well whatever I want to call this.   But firstly, I want to highlight a few points, or in other words explain myself before I drench this blog with over-opinionated nonsense. I’m not taking this seriously, this is simply a place for me to ‘express’ myself (cringe). I’m not a good writer, so excuse my bad grammar and lack of proof reading (one thing that’s really going to annoy you is my overuse of commas and brackets, brackets are fucking great). I’ve called it  “splash of thoughts” because that’s it – there is going to be no structure or plan. Today I’m on about trains, tomorrow it might be potatoes. Who knows?
